Position : Events Project Manager - Pretoria

Our Events, Project Manager and Hospitality Recruiters are looking to hire a skilled Events Project Manager on behalf of our client to oversee domestic and international projects within our Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events division. This role requires a hands-on professional with experience managing complex event logistics, financial oversight, client relations, and vendor coordination to ensure the flawless delivery of high-quality events. This position is ideal for an organized and proactive candidate that has a passion for creating memorable experiences in the this industry.
Responsibilities:

  • Event and Project Management: Execute all aspects of event planning and execution, from initial concept to completion
  • Conceptualization and Itinerary Design: Develop creative concepts based on client briefs and design innovative event and incentive itineraries
  • Supplier and Budget Management: Source and negotiate with suppliers, manage supplier relationships, and oversee budget tracking and reconciliation for each project
  • Guest Support: Assist guests with visa applications, extensions, and address any inquiries
  • Logistics Coordination: Manage travel logistics, including flights, accommodation, and transport for all events
  • Client and Stakeholder Relations: Maintain professional relationships with clients, conduct regular updates, and manage communications with senior stakeholders
  • Venue Inspections: Conduct site inspections of prospective destinations and venues to ensure they meet project requirements
  • Independent Project Execution: Lead projects of varying sizes independently, both on-site and remotely as needed
  • Team Leadership: Oversee a small team during larger projects to ensure cohesive execution
  • Administrative Management: Perform detailed administrative tasks, maintaining thorough records and documentation
  • Internal Collaboration: Work effectively with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach
  • Travel Requirements: Be prepared for both local and international travel as required by project demands

Required profile for job ad : Events Project Manager - Pretoria

  • Degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, Project Management or similar
  • 4-5 years of experience within the events or incentive industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with corporate communication proficiency
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Professional demeanor and polished character
  • Creativity and innovation in problem-solving
