I had administrative duties and I was expected to delegate instructions to other employees, making sure that the specific tasks I had given them were completed in due time.

I am neat, hardworking, and dedicated. I have very good written and spoken English communication skills, I am fluent in Afrikaans and I am currently learning to speak Spanish. I am computer literate and I can use MS Word, PowerPoint and Excell, I am very good at writing emails and telecommunication. I am very creative and I like to take initiative, however, I also work well in a team and follow instructions very well. I prefer structured workplaces, however, I can work under pressure if the instructions are clear. I am a fast-paced learner as I pay attention to detail.

  • My Anthropology honors course trained me in quantitative research methods, which I utilized when gathering data for my thesis. The title and topic of my thesis were The Histories of Cape Muslim dressmaker from Bokaap, Cape Town South Africa. I conducted research with Cape Muslim dressmakers from Bokaap and unpacked their personal histories about being a dressmaker and how life in Bokaap shaped that history and experience of being a Cape Muslim women dressmaker in Bokaap. I learned to write and communicate my ideas very eloquently, I had done many oral presentations which better developed my interpersonal communication skills. As I was instructed to conduct research with people, I was trained on ethics and completed an ethics module as part of the course. The ethics module I had completed has trained me on research ethics which may apply to certain aspects of workplace-related ethics.
