• As a sinior plant maintenance fitter i was responsible for all repairs,preventive and corrective maintenance of timber working machines such as moulders,finger jointers, timber presses. I also carried repairs and maintenance on factory utilities such as air compressors,conveyors,pumps, gearboxes, extracting fans and blowers.I did fault finding and analysis on pneumatics and hydraulics systems. I carried machinery and equipe installation. In workshop i manufactured spare parts such as bolts,nuts,spindle shafts,leadscrews,gears and as whilecarried general and precision machining. I did all machine modification and rebuilding of gearboxes,valves,pumps.As a sinior fitter i was responsible for spare parts inventory.My other duties were to suppervise and train apprentices,attaches and semi skilled workers.
